Was it two years ago that I started writing the Glub Story ?
Originally it was a therapeutic activity aimed at taking my mind off the suffering of the agony and death of parents and of my life.
It also reflected my perplexity as Mathematic Teacher for Lower classes (12 year old) that such very profound mathematics would be taught and that neither students, parents, colleague teachers would realize how profound the conceps were
Take 5 stones.
I have 5 stones collected from Sweden by Michel Goren, for me, from the beaches, granite stones worked by thousands of years of erosion.
In my hand any stone is any stone.
Now I align the stones on the floor.
All my mathematics is done on a floor.
Suddenly the stones acquire “characters” such as elementary particles have spin, charm, up and down, and other characteristics.
You do not believe me?
Why should you?
OK, align the stones.
How?
Try a row as a starter.
So what, you have five stones in a row, nothing to overcook your brain, is it?
Is it?
What is the name of the first stone?
Yes, indeed, brave student, it is number one.
And the second stone?
Yuu have got the mechanics, it will work up to five.
We have created a Universe.
A Universe?
Yes, we had five stones, all similar, just stones.
Now, look at number one
It is an uneven number, prime number.
Look at number two
It is a even number, usually mistaken for a divisible number while it is a prime number.
More characteristics can be used to describe the stones.
Once the students have been made familiar with this, I tell them that they have got all wrong.
I ask, how many stones do they have?
They look at me, the way my dog looks at me when I cannot find the ball which is at my foot.
Five of course!
And I tell them, possibly six.
They are only twelve year old so they cannot understand.
It will take a few years until they understand that there are six stones as there is one stone called “zero” which is not visible, but is there.
They will be familiar with this when they do Cartesian coordinates in geometry.
Up to to the age of seventeen, no teacher will push them into deeper thinking.
After sixteen, to the bravest of them, willo ask:
What is the difference if I take a piece of chalk and mark the hieroglyph “zero” and I take a piece of chalk and mark nothing.?
Usually, they cannot understand.
Yet in the fifteenth century, the concept of “zero” was strongly debated, to the point of death.
How can I “have!!!!” zero cows?
These thinking lead them to an even more difficult concept,
How can I have “minus seven cows.”
Today's students do not even reflect about the meaning of minus seven cows, in the middle age it was considered paramount to malevolent witchcraft and mathematicians were burned alive.
So naturally I came to the Glubs.
What is a Universe where there is not even “nothing”.
As by saying “nothing” I imply that there is a virtual chalk mark of a possible zero “sign”.
But I considered a Universe of nothing of nothing
Which physicians call the “World before the Big Bang”.
Then I linked this to the Universe.
The Universe is made in our eyes of inert material and living material.
We are the summit of the living world.
We have created a communication world which, within centuries, all will link to all living and to all data processing equipments. To the extent that our brains will be modified so that they are in permanent content with all knowledge like computer being linked by Wi-Fi.
And as living humans cannot resist the opportunity to play at being the masters of the Universe, a virus will be introduced into this communication system and that the whole communication system will become chaotic, which means the end of the thinking Universe.
The thinking Universe is dead.
If the thinking Universe is dead, so time and space will vanish.
Therefore the Glubs.
They are the new Universe.
We can as little imagine the Glubs as the Glubs can imagine us.
But the Glubs have to be given an image that we can work with, the best I can do is to describe them as a mathematical Matrix which is permanently changing its configuration, which is not three-dimensional as this would have no sense.
Up to that point it is obvious and boring.
Therefore I have given the Glubs a human characteristic.
They are curious.
They want to explore the Universe that existed before the Glub Universe.
They do that by Bubbling into what they believe to be Human forms.
Of course they make a mess of it, as if we would, if we tried to transform into a life form that would make it possible for us to understand bacteria.
So the Glubs are materialized into Bubble Professors and Bubble students.
And they try to incarnate into our life to understand us.
The point, and I am not the first one by a long way, is to try and look at our behavior through the eyes of a scientists who understands nothing of what we do.
And the more he looks at us, the less he understands, because all our behaviors make no sense.
I have concentrated on the copulation act, because it appeared to me that the copulation act was the most absurd act of the living world.
Why do we copulate and why do we write in such ecstatic words of “LOVE”.
Then I had fun.
If I have bored you, please accept my apologies.
Dare I write that this chapter of the “Glubs” is a description and analysis of YOUR life?

that it is only afterwards
That I start understanding
What I have done.
I really thought that I was entertaining myself
to avoid thinking

Annie and I were giggling like idiots, at the age of seventy !!
When we started thinking how we would be
If we discovered that our house was surrounded
By the terrifying NODDLES!
Which is of course, just another way
To look at the absurdity of our life.
I will confess that
Not so long before
I had looked at
Mars Attacks
for the fifth time
And so much regretted that I was not the author.
